Made in Chicago like God intended and on vinyl for the pleasure of man, Tied001 is, as you might reckon, the debut release from the Chicago artist collective and party people Tied, who in its DJ incarnation at least is made up of Max Jacobson, Mantas Steles and Ari Frank.

Tied’s first record is a three track EP features Topper, Andrea Ferlin and RG as “Memo Boys” – a percussion-driven, minimalist but energetic collection of tracks lead by “Gem 1” and more mental “Gem 2.” And weirdly, a remix by Martinez which sounds like a glitchy crossbreed of the two.

Tied001 is out now; you can check it locally at Gramaphone or internationally via Juno.
