The Remedy Project commissions South Africa’s China Charmeleon for the first remix, this is the first time I have heard China and I’m impressed. Soulful vibes and vocals weave in and out of Afro-Latin percussion. It’s nice! Karizma’s “Hi Grade Revizion” starts with a dubbed out vocal loop and the keys shimmy in side-to-side. You can see Karizma’s magic move on this track: the waveform starts with a thin bit of ribbon, gets thicker and thicker as sounds and elements layer in. Deep & soulful all the way down and this goes down smooth.
