Charivari Detroit is back for 2021. The homegrown Detroit festival is celebrating its 8th year with an impressive series of guests from around the world as well as what organizers credibly call “the greatest assembly of Detroit based DJ talent ever.”

Karizma, Glenn Underground, Kai Alce, Osunlade and more will join Detroit pioneers Al Ester, Alton Miller, Blake Baxter, Claude Young, Dan Bell, Delano Smith, DJ Minx, DJ Psycho, Eddie Fowlkes, Mike Clark, Norm Talley, Rick Wilhite, Santonio Echols, Terrence Parker and more — I mean, everyone says this on flyers, but in this case “and more” is real shorthand for “too many to list” — for Charivari 2021, taking place August 13, 14 and 15 2021 at Historic Fort Wayne in Detroit.

Like most of the music world, Charivari went digital in 2020, with a virtual festival that streamed 24 hours a day for weeks throughout the summer. The 2019 event was held at West Riverfront Park; the 2021 festival will take place on the grounds of Historic Fort Wayne located at 6325 W. Jefferson in Detroit, MI, 48209.

This year’s festival continues to promote health, with yoga, biking and walking art and music.
