Chicago’s souled-up house music and disco festival returns in July 2019: The DJs that brought House Music to the White House – Chosen Few DJs – are bringing it back to the Southside of Chicago and have announced the dates, line-ups and preparties and aftersets for the 2019 Chosen Few Picnic and House Music Festival.
The 29th annual Chosen Few Picnic and Festival returns on Saturday, July 6 2018, but there are more after parties and pre parties for the festival than you can imagine. See full details on those below.
Chosen Few Picnic & House Music Festival 2019
The Chosen Few Picnic and Festival itself is at Jackson Park at 6300 S. Hayes Drive, opening at 8am and continuing until 9pm. The Chosen Few DJs are one of the oldest and most venerated DJ crews in the world, founded in 1977 by Wayne Williams and has added DJs Alan King, Andre Hatchett, Jesse Saunders, Tony Hatchett, Terry Hunter and Mike Dunn over the subsequent decades.
Among the first wave guests this year are David Morales, Thelma Houston, Taana Gardner and Lady Alma with DJs Lori Branch, Mickey Calvin, Greg Gray, and Emmaculate.
