Brave decision here to release a record under two artists’ least known aliases. “All Is Well” is Frédéric Blais, aka Fred Everything, and under AIW he’s released several records on Drumpoet Community. Martin Iveson is, of course, Atjazz, and apparently this record, Cosmos, is the product of several years of on & off activity. The original track was apparently the best of a furtive studio session, “a kind of Jean-Michel Jarre vs Norwegian Cosmic disco melting pot” which Fred tore apart under lockdown to the studs and nails, an elemental core that is so raw with emotion it’s almost screaming. I can hear Jarre for sure, especially in the muffled and mysterious sounds that the mind organizes into chanting after the drums drop out. Prins Thomas’ remix em-biggens the drums and there’s a kind of demented uptempo Scarface theme about this that is both catchy and kitschy.
