The news has broken of multiple deaths at last weekend’s Hard Summer festival held out in Los Angeles.

The LA Times quoting the the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reports that three people are confirmed as having died at the festival held at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana.

“We were deeply saddened to learn about the deaths of three people who attended the festival this weekend,” said a statement from a Hard Summer spokesperson. “While the causes of the deaths have not yet been determined, we ask everyone to keep them in their prayers. Our sincerest thoughts and condolences are with their family and friends.”

The festival was moved to Fontana after the death of two women at last year’s Hard Summer event at the Los Angeles County fairgrounds, according to the Times. At least one lawsuit relating to the deaths is pending, naming among others Hard Summer promoter Live Nation.

There were numerous complaints on social media this weekend about long lines and a lack of access to water as temperatures soared over 95 degrees:
