This is one hell of a get.

Smartbar has announced that the legendary disco producer Cerrone will be playing a DJ set in Chicago at the club on October 2, 2019.

Cerrone – and to be honest, we had no idea he was DJing – will be headlining at a special Wednesday night edition of Queen!, Smartbar’s weekly residency that is usually held Sunday nights, along with resident DJs Michael Serafini and Garrett David.

Possibly the first man who could claim he had a “French touch,” Cerrone is a contemporary of Giorgio Moroder and came to wield tremendous influence on the evolution of dance music, from LCD Soundsystem to Todd Terje. His live performances were extraordinary spectacles on par with Jean-Michel Jarre, and certainly an influence on the light & sound orgy perfected by Daft Punk twenty years later.

Advance tickets are available for $12. For more info visit smartbarchicago.com.
