It’s got slick beats and bubbly organs and they tickle like champagne and these form the basis for “Waiting,” a collaboration between a supergroup of UK Garage producers including Todd Edwards, Matt Jam Lamont, Scott Diaz and MC Smasher.
“Waiting” is diamond-cut — a slow-building monster of a track that skips along in a way you’ve heard it done before but in the capable hands of people who do it better than most. Beneath Smasher’s verses vocal clips drip like melting caramel all over beats polished until they gleam.
There’s a short edit and an instrumental and an extended version — everything you might possibly want as a DJ in one package, most of all the presence of a track that slaps you like you love it.
