Lakeshore Commission ft Bluey into the light album art

“In 2 The Light” is the latest release from Dave Lee’s lesser-traveled Lakeshore Commission alias and it is as fine as anything you’ll find bottled up in a rich man’s cellar. Tony Remy strums out a monster riff on guitar, setting the table for vocals from Bluey (of Incognito fame) and Lee’s spaced-out production. If you were to play this for someone without saying a thing about it, there are only a few tell-tale signs that would place “In 2 The Light” in the 2020s, and none of them are dealbreakers for a classic disco head. With a full band roaring behind the rafters, this sounds like a blast of Philly funk, a lesser-known MFSB Orchestra b-side, remastered from the hot tapes secured deep in Iron Mountain.
