2022 isn’t 2021, and that’s something positive right off the bat. And while we’re celebrating the demise of a bad year we might save a few cheers for Spybar, the Chicago nightclub which is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
While the neighborhood has changed a lot — from parking garages and artist lofts to condos and glittering skyscrapers — a few landmarks of River North remain and “the small room with the big sound on Franklin and Erie” has become a downtown nightlife institution.
Spybar is launching an Anniversary Event Series throughout 2022 to celebrate “its storied past, present and future.” The first is coming up on Sunday February 20, 2022 — President’s Day Weekend — with The Martin Brothers (Justin Martin and Christian Martin).
