Louie Vega’s NYC Disco album is still firing off sparks and solar flares more than a year after it was released. One of the album highlights, the insanely addictive, neo-electro Rebel Nation gets a massive remix treatment this week on wax and digital from Nervous Records.

The original track had Louie Vega with Salsoul & Prelude legend Patrick Adams and Cloud Two featuring Anané in a robotic stomper that was, if you can believe liner notes about these sort of things, inspired by a Star Wars franchise movie. The remix pack features Soul Clap, Carl Craig, Felix Da Housecat and Chris Trucher and to top them off Danny Krivit with an edit primed and turned out for ciphers, cat walks and dancefloors near you:

(And it’s worth plugging here this interview Harold Heath did last year with Danny Krivit specifically about edit culture.)

Rebel Nation is out on vinyl now and digital this week from Nervous Records.
